I’ve always said that I’m not the most creative person. Art was not my area of expertise. Starting Clearwater, I knew that I needed to up my creative game, so I’ve been looking for bite-size ways to make that happen.
Taking a leap and planning my first styled shoot seemed like the perfect opportunity to get my feet wet. They say that inspiration can come from anything, and that rings so true in this case. Stephanie, a friend of mine, makes beautiful concrete decor that I’ve been a huge fan of for a while now. I’d been looking for a way to shoot her pieces, and so came to life this idea of mixing hard and soft - in my own unique way. I knew I wanted to showcase the minimalistic beauty of concrete, bringing it into the decor as well as the jewelry. To balance that, I wanted softer romantic tones: blush and gold, with hints of copper.
I am so unbelievably pleased with how everything turned out. Thank you Rocky Mountain Bride for the feature! So thrilled to see it on your blog!
Check out some of my favourite photos from the shoot below:
To the dreamiest of teams that made this shoot come to life, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You managed to take my vision and elevate it to a whole new level! It's because of the crazy good talent of each of you this shoot was what it was. Styled shoots are a lot of work, but man, they are so worth it when you see the beautiful end product.
