Fairytale Tofino Elopement Shoot

Those that know me know I’m a West Coast girl through and through.  And I think a big part of that is being born and raised in the North Shore mountains. So when the opportunity arose to do an EPIC collaboration out at The Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, it was a no brainer.

Because I knew we would be shooting in multiple locations, it was really important to me to be intentional around design: choosing elements that could transform in different spaces, while also creating individually unique looks.

To the creative team that pulled everything together, thank you!

Intimate Long-table Dinner in the Wine Cellar

2 piece: Fern and Moon // Suit: Black and Lee // Stationery/Vow Books: Ayla Pena

We started our day by shooting an intimate reception in their incredible wine cellar.  It’s truly a haven for wine and those that have the curiosity and knowledge to appreciate it.  The stunning center table is a 20-foot-long yellow cedar table with some gorgeous mountain peaks built right in. What I love is that you don’t need a ton to make the room feel special.

Fairytale Forest Elopement

Next, we shifted to the forest that’s built for intimate elopement ceremonies.  As you walk in 5-10 minutes, you come to this clearing with this big beautiful statement tree (which is the only way I know how to describe it).

Both Darcey and I had dreamed of doing this growing ceremony installation, and there was no better place to showcase that!  Some of my favourite images came from this part of our shoot!

Dreamy Celebration on the Private Shell Beach

Wedding Gown: Hannah Tikkanen // Suit: Black and Lee // Stationery + Calligraphy: LeLe Chan

The final spot of our marathon day was down on a completely private beach: the perfect spot for an intimate celebration of up to 60 guests.  The Wick has these beautiful live edge wood tables used for the dinner reception, which is an elevated BBQ on the beach.  Combine that with the tiki torches that light up the night, and optional s’mores over a campfire, this place is a dream! The perfect location to party the night away with your nearest and dearest!
